'Farmers and Herdsmen’ is a three piece narrative documentary photography project based on the middle belt of Nigeria. There has been an ethnic cleansing of indigenous groups in Plateau state and other parts of the middle belt region. Since the 90's, the narrative has been that the genocide going on is based on conflicts between Farmers and Herdsmen over natural resources. Thousands of deaths around the Northern and middle belt areas of Nigeria have been a result of this. It is very personal to me because I was raised in Plateau State, and schooled in one of the communities constantly being attacked, I also still have friends and family there.
